Arun Kaul, CFA, serves as an advisor to the BlackPoint Capital Partners Investment Committee. He is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Boutique CIO, a firm specializing in portfolio management, asset allocation, security selection, and manager due diligence across public and private markets. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Arun has held senior investment leadership roles at multiple firms. He was previously Chief Investment Strategist for a $4 billion bank-owned advisory firm in Chicago, President and CIO of a $2 billion advisory and consultancy business in Boca Raton, and Co-CIO of a $500 million investment firm and hedge fund. Across these roles, he oversaw portfolio management, investment research, and technology strategy. Arun has deep experience managing and evaluating investments in equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, private debt, and long-short strategies. He has conducted due diligence on hundreds of asset managers and investment opportunities across diverse asset classes. He works closely with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, financial advisors, and institutions to deliver tailored investment solutions. Arun is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, universities, and corporate events. He has contributed to trade publications, taught finance in the California State University system, and actively mentors graduate students and interns through Boutique CIO’s internship program.
